About Us
The Garden State Girls NJ is a riding group that aims to empower women in the motorcycle community through charity rides, motorcycle events, and working with other like-minded, women riding groups. Our founder, Mercedes Meglio, created the group in 2014 and has watched us grow to over 45 active members from New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and New York area.
We are an all-inclusive riding group, fostering fellowship between female riders and support members. We do not discriminate or exclude individuals based on race, religion, sexual orientation, gender, self-identification, or brand of motorcycle one rides. Our mission is to unite all women motorcycle enthusiasts for recreation, education, mutual support, recognition and to promote a positive image of motorcycling.
It's all about the love of riding and motorcycles!
I started The Garden State Girls NJ to unite and empower women riders in my area. I would like other women riders to be well educated in the style and type of motorcycle they choose to ride as beginners. We as women are a force to be reckoned with. We as a united group can be noticed and not be the minority in the biker world."
